Pinker points out that science and reason have allowed us to make incredible progress, yet science and reason are unable to save us from this ever escalating self-destructive hysteria raging in our town square and our streets.
I reclaim my sovereign right to govern my own mind and attention. I remember that no matter where we are from, it was our ancestors that got us here. They are the ones that lived without modern dentistry, anesthesia, hot water, central heating and clean drinking water, while they created those technologies for our benefit.
